Ferns coffee story starts in a Covent Garden warehouse in 1893 when an emigrant Ludwig Ferns opened a coffee and tea importing and trading business and coffee house in the tradition of the great London coffee houses of the nineteenth century, passing through several generations and hands since our parent company acquired it in 2015.

Ferns’ roastery is now in Basingstoke where they only roast in small batches to maintain the coffee’s freshness.

The medium bodied coffee is smooth and sweet with a wine like acidity to create a smooth flavoursome drink.
